Hello all, as you can see this isn't my Marco Polo post. It's just a message to draw your attention; in case you hadn't noticed, to the new design of my Blog. I thought it was about time I worked out the blog design thing, and I'm happy with the results. I hope you are too. Speaking of design, I had a wonderful moment of realisation I'm sure many many fans have already had about the new Tardis design and I thought I'd share it with you. 'Cause I'm nice like that...

Above is a picture of the Tardis's first design from 1963. The design will stay largely the same for the rest of the original series. We lose the fault locater from the wall. We keep the roundels in the walls, and the console in the middle. It doesn't really change a whole bunch until a budget injection in 2005 lets it go off to totally new places. The main difference is the round motif on the ceiling. Something we won't really see again in the classic era. Now look at a picture of Matt Smith's 11th Doctor Tardis. Recognise anything?

There don't you feel privileged. The same ceiling. I'm not sure what it's purpose is but I love the reincorporation. Hmm, judging from the image above I don't think The 11th Doctor wants us to tell anyone about the similarity in Tardis roofs, so shhhhhh. See you next time for a different roof 'The Roof of The World' in Marco Polo.
